# How do I customize the thank-you page after checkout?

Every store gets a default thank-you page shown to customers right after they complete an order, and you can edit its message and layout from your store's theme editor.

## Steps

1. Go to **Online Store** and open your store's theme/page editor.
2. In the page selector, choose **Thank you page** (this is the page shown after an order is completed).
3. Edit the text blocks to customize the thank-you message, and add, remove, or rearrange blocks (such as order details) the same way you would on any other page.
4. Save your changes and place a test order to confirm the updated thank-you page appears as expected.

## Common problems

- Not sure if your store is set up correctly before checking the thank-you page → visit your store using your actual domain name (not a preview link); if it loads correctly, your store is properly linked.
- Can't find a thank-you page to edit → it's added to every store by default under the page selector as **Thank you page**; it isn't something you need to create from scratch.
- Changes to the thank-you page don't appear for customers → make sure you saved the page in the editor, then re-test with a new order rather than reloading an old confirmation.
