# How to verify your domain with Facebook Business Manager

Verify your domain in Facebook Business Manager using the **meta-tag method**, not a DNS TXT record — Dropify doesn't offer a way to add custom DNS TXT records, but you can paste Facebook's meta tag directly into your store's theme code.

## Steps

1. In Facebook Business Manager, go to **Brand Safety → Domains**, add your domain, and choose the **Meta tag verification** method (not the DNS TXT record method).
2. Copy the meta tag code Facebook gives you.
3. In Dropify, go to your store's **theme settings** and find the **Custom code within head tag** section.
4. Paste the meta tag code there and save.
5. Return to Facebook Business Manager and click **Verify**.

## Common problems

- Facebook asks for a DNS TXT record → skip it; use the meta-tag method above instead, since Dropify's DNS setup doesn't support adding custom TXT records.
- Verification keeps failing even though the code is placed correctly → double-check the code was saved in the right theme section and try verifying again after a few minutes; if it still fails, contact support with a screenshot of your Facebook verification screen.
- `www` subdomain shows an SSL error that blocks Meta Business/WhatsApp verification → see [SSL certificate not working on my custom domain](https://help.dropify.shop/en/domains_dns/ssl-not-working-custom-domain/).
