# Why my custom domain still shows the default Dropify link

Set your custom domain as the **Primary Domain** under **Store Settings → Domains** to use it across your whole store and all landing pages — picking it only inside a single landing page's own settings won't stick.

## Steps

1. Go to **Store Settings → Domains**.
2. In the **Primary Domain** section, choose your connected custom domain from the dropdown.
3. Click **Save primary domain**.
4. Your store and all landing pages will now use links like `yourdomain.com/lp/...` instead of the default `.mydropify.shop` subdomain.

Don't select a custom domain inside an individual landing page's own settings — that only applies it to that one page and will reset back to your store subdomain; the store-wide Primary Domain setting is the only way to lock a domain in everywhere.

## Common problems

- Custom domain resets to the default subdomain after selecting it inside a landing page's settings → expected — set it as Primary Domain from Store Settings instead, not from within the page editor.
- Want one domain to work across multiple landing pages → a domain chosen inside one landing page's settings only works for that page; set it as the store's Primary Domain to use it on all of them.
- Products/pages still link to your old domain after switching to a new one → this updates automatically once the new domain is set as Primary — no need to edit each product or page.
- `sitemap.xml` still shows the old domain's URLs after a domain change, hurting search indexing → go to **Store Settings → Details** and use **Request Sitemap** to regenerate it (note: there's roughly a 1-week cooldown between requests, and you're notified by email once it's ready).
- Old `.mydropify.shop` subdomain still resolves after setting a primary domain → this is expected; the free subdomain stays reachable in parallel.
