# How do I export my inventory levels?

Export your current stock levels from the **Inventory** page as a CSV or Excel file.

## Steps

1. Go to **Inventory** in the sidebar.
2. Optionally filter first — by **Location**, **Product**, or **Stock Status** (In Stock, Low Stock, Out of Stock) — so the export only includes what you need.
3. Click **Export**, then choose **Export CSV** or **Export Excel**.
4. Wait for the file to generate; you'll see a success message once it's ready, and the download starts automatically.
5. To export the change log instead of current levels, click **History** on the Inventory page to open **Adjustment History**, select the entries you want to export, and use its own **Export** button (CSV or Excel).

## Common problems

- Export button does nothing or shows an error → make sure you have at least one location and product with inventory tracked; try clearing filters and exporting again.
- Exported file is empty → your current filters (Location/Status) may not match any products; reset filters to "All locations" / "All statuses" and retry.
- Need history/adjustments, not current stock → use the export on the **Adjustment History** page instead, and note it requires selecting at least one entry first.
