# AI images aren't generating, are low quality, or won't upload

If your AI-generated landing page comes back with the rest of the page done but no images, retry generation — this is a known, usually temporary, issue with the AI image step.

## Steps

1. If images fail to generate on an AI landing page while the text/sections look fine, try generating the page again.
2. If uploading your own image to a landing page freezes the page, wait for it to finish instead of navigating away — very large source images take longer to process.
3. To add more images to an already AI-generated page: add a new section (Box) to the page, then add an Image element inside that section, and upload your picture there.
4. Keep source images reasonably sized (compressed, standard web dimensions) before uploading — the platform automatically re-optimizes every uploaded image into a modern web format for faster loading, so a large raw file can be slow to upload even though the final published image loads quickly.

## Common problems

- Images fail to generate on an AI landing page every time you launch it → try again; if it keeps failing, contact support and mention it's specific to AI-generated pages.
- Your landing page won't save unless you shrink your images first → compress images before uploading (aim for a few hundred KB, not several MB); very large files can time out the save.
- Uploaded image looks lower quality than the original after publishing → this is expected — images are automatically compressed and converted for faster page loads; a higher original file size does not translate to a sharper published image.
- File size actually went up after upload → the platform converts images to modern formats (e.g. WebP) for compatibility, which can show a larger file size in some tools even though real-world load speed is faster — a slow page is more likely caused by something else; see the loading-speed article.
