# How do I add Facebook Messenger chat to my store?

The Messenger - Live Chat app adds a chat button linked to your Facebook Page Messenger, so customers can message you directly — no coding needed.

## Steps

1. Open **Messenger - Live Chat** from Apps.
2. Go to **App Settings** and paste **Your Messenger URL** (must contain "m.me", e.g. `https://m.me/yourpage`).
3. Choose **Display on**: Only on the Online Store, Only on Landing pages, or Both.
4. Click **Save changes**.

## Common problems

- "Invalid chat code" error when saving → the URL must contain "m.me"; copy the link directly from your Facebook Page's Messenger settings rather than typing it manually.
- Chat button isn't showing on my landing page → check the **Display on** setting is set to Landing pages or Both, not just Online Store.
- Chat button missing after choosing a location → make sure you clicked **Save changes**; the setting isn't applied until saved, and "Please select where to display the chat" means that field was left empty.
- Messages aren't reaching my Facebook inbox → this app only links to your existing Facebook Page Messenger; check your Page's Messenger settings and permissions directly in Facebook.
