# How to remove a saved card from your account

The card you save on file is used only to pay for your own Dropify subscription and balance top-ups — not for anything a customer pays into your store. You can remove it yourself from your account settings.

## Steps

1. Go to **Account Settings → Subscriptions & Payments**.
2. Under **Payment Methods**, find the card you want removed and click the delete/trash icon next to it.
3. Confirm the removal — you'll see a confirmation that the card has been deleted.
4. If you have more than one card saved, you can also set a different card as primary instead of removing all of them.

## Common problems

- Seeing an unexpected charge attempt and want the card removed immediately → remove it using the steps above; if you believe the charge itself was unauthorized, also contact your bank, since Dropify can only stop future charges by removing the card on file, not reverse one already processed by your bank.
- Wanting your whole account closed rather than just the card removed → removing the card stops future charges to it, but does not delete your account; contact support separately if you want the account itself closed.
- This page is about the card that pays for *your* subscription — Dropify does not currently offer a way for a shopper to save a card in your store for future purchases, so there's nothing for them to manage on your end.
