# Store or home page shows an error, connection issue, or won't load

Two of the most common causes are: a landing page's domain is also assigned as your store's primary domain (which redirects visitors away from your store), or publishing isn't enabled yet on your theme.

## Steps

1. Confirm you haven't connected the same domain to a landing page while also using it as your store's primary domain — a landing page domain takes priority and hides your store at that address.
2. Go to **Theme Settings** and check that publishing is enabled for your store; some stores need this turned on explicitly after a domain change.
3. If you see a "connection error" or the system says it can't connect to your store, check whether a product-page section was accidentally added to your store's homepage, and remove it.
4. Try the store link in a private/incognito window to rule out a caching issue.
5. If none of this resolves it, contact support with your store link and a screenshot of the exact error.

## Common problems

- Domain is connected but the store still doesn't show up → enable publishing from Theme Settings.
- "Page not found" or "this page couldn't load" across the whole store → contact support with a screenshot; if it's affecting every page, mention that specifically since it points to a different cause than a single broken page.
- Store shows a connection error after editing your homepage → remove any product-page section that was added to the homepage template, since the homepage and product-page templates aren't interchangeable.
- Preview flashes or disappears while customizing, but works fine in incognito → an element meant only for the product page may have been added to the homepage; remove it, or contact support with a screenshot of the flash.
- Store doesn't appear in your Dropify stores list at all after setting up a domain → contact support with the domain name and your account email to check the store's connection status.
