# How do I add another language to my storefront?

**Store Settings → Languages** lets you add languages your storefront displays in and set which one customers see by default.

## Steps

1. Go to **Store Settings → Languages**.
2. Click **Add Language**, then **Choose language** from the list — a translation app is installed automatically to help translate your content.
3. Note that all content — including store and theme content — requires translation for the language you add; it won't appear fully translated instantly.
4. Under **Added Languages**, see each language with its **Added On** date and available **Actions**.
5. To change which language visitors see by default (when their preferred language isn't available), use **Change Default Language**, pick from **Choose language**, and **Save changes**.
6. To remove a language, delete it — you'll be asked to confirm, since this removes all translations for that language.

## Common problems

- New language doesn't show translated content on the storefront → adding a language only enables it; you (or the installed translation app) still need to fill in translations for products, pages, and theme text.
- Accidentally deleted a language → deletion removes all its translations and can't be undone; you'll need to re-add the language and retranslate content.
- Customers still see the wrong language → check **Default language**; visitors whose browser language isn't among your added languages will always see the default.
