# I got a special activation/offer link — what do I do with it?

A special activation link takes you straight to an upgrade/payment page with a special offer already applied, based on a code in the link.

## Steps

1. Open the activation link you were given; it automatically validates the code included in it.
2. If the code is valid, you're redirected straight to the plan upgrade/payment page with the offer already applied — no need to enter a coupon manually.
3. If you're not logged in yet, you'll be sent to log in first; the offer code is preserved and picked up automatically once you've logged in.
4. Complete the checkout on the upgrade page to activate the plan with the special pricing.

## Common problems

- "This activation link is invalid or has expired" → the code in your link is no longer valid; request a fresh link rather than reusing an old one.
- "You are not eligible for this activation" → this offer is tied to specific accounts/conditions; it won't apply to every merchant even with a valid-looking link.
- Redirected to login and the offer seems to disappear → it doesn't — log in normally and you'll be carried through to the upgrade page with the offer code still applied.
- "Something went wrong" error → try opening the link again; if it repeats, request a new activation link instead of retrying the same one indefinitely.
