# How do I set my store's currency, timezone, tax, and SEO details?

**Store Settings → Store details** covers your store's general configuration: title/description, currency and price format, tax, SEO, social links, and sitemap generation.

## Steps

1. Go to **Store Settings → Store details**.
2. Under **General settings**, set **Store title**, **Store currency**, **Store timezone**, and **Store description**. Choose a **Price format** (Standard with two decimals, e.g. $20.00, or No decimal places, e.g. $20), and optionally set a custom **Currency display name**.
3. Under **Search Engine Optimization**, add up to 10 **SEO keywords** (letters, numbers, hyphens, and spaces only) and an **SEO description** (max 500 characters).
4. Under **Sitemap Generation**, click **Request Sitemap** to queue a new XML sitemap — you'll get an email when it's ready — or **Preview Sitemap** to view the current one. There's a cooldown between requests.
5. Under **Store social media**, add links for Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and Snapchat.
6. Under **Tax**, toggle **Enable tax**, choose **Percentage** or **Fixed amount**, set the **Tax rate**, optional **Tax ID**/**Tax name**, and whether to **Charge tax on shipping**.

## Common problems

- SEO keywords won't save → keywords can only contain letters, numbers, hyphens, and spaces, up to 10 total; remove special characters and any extras beyond 10.
- Sitemap request button is disabled → you're in the cooldown period after a recent request; the page shows the date you can request again.
- Prices show extra/missing decimals → check **Price format**; Standard always shows two decimals, while "No decimal places" rounds to whole numbers.
- Tax isn't applied to shipping → confirm **Charge tax on shipping** is turned on in addition to **Enable tax**; they're separate switches.
