# How WhatsApp AI Agent billing, coins, and spending limits work

The WhatsApp AI Agent is pay-per-use: 1 coin = $0.01, coins never expire, and you can cap daily spending so the agent stops before it overspends.

## Steps

1. Go to **Billing** to see your coin balance and usage history (event, date, coins, cost).
2. Set a **Daily spend limit** (50–2,000 coins); the agent stops responding for the day once it's reached.
3. Set a **low-balance alert** (10–500 coins) to get notified by email or WhatsApp before you run out.
4. Review optional media settings — each has a toggle and a fallback reply text used when it's off.
5. Buy more coins with a recharge pack: Starter 200 coins (100 MAD), Growth 1,100 coins (500 MAD), Scale 4,800 coins (2,000 MAD), or a custom Enterprise amount.

## Common problems

- Agent silently stopped replying → your balance likely hit zero; the agent saves the customer's message but doesn't reply until you top up. Check your balance in Billing first.
- Costs higher than expected → lead engagement is 45 coins per 15 customer messages, and order confirmation is 4 coins per created order (a typical confirmed text-only order runs about 49 coins); optional surcharges apply only if you enable them: image processing (+5 coins/15 images), voice-note understanding (+10 coins/15 notes), and voice replies (Basic 15 or Premium/HD 30 coins per 15 replies).
- Voice reply tier change hasn't applied yet → a tier change takes effect on the next billing chunk, or select **Apply now** to switch immediately.
- Multi-language replies or order creation cost extra → these are free; they don't add to your coin usage.
