# How to set up the WhatsApp upsell agent and flows

The Upsell agent messages customers on WhatsApp after their order is confirmed or delivered to offer a related product, using flows you build per product. It requires the Upsell Booster app to be installed with upsell products configured.

## Steps

1. Install and configure the **Upsell Booster** app with the products you want to offer as upsells.
2. Go to **Upsell** and set the trigger (after order confirmed, or after delivered) and rules: minimum order value, maximum offers per customer (once a day, week, month, or unlimited), skip rejected customers, verified phones only, and respect working hours.
3. Set the offer expiry (30 minutes–24 hours) and a follow-up delay (30 minutes–12 hours).
4. Go to **Upsell → Flows** and build one flow per source product: add steps with a delay (at least 1 minute), the upsell product, the offer type (percentage or fixed discount), and a send condition (after the previous message was sent, or after the customer replied).
5. Turn on **Stop flow after a sale** so the flow doesn't keep messaging once the customer buys.
6. If messaging outside the 24-hour window, assign an approved "Upsell Offer" template.

## Common problems

- No upsell offers are sending → confirm the Upsell Booster app is installed with products configured, and that a flow exists for the source product.
- Offers keep going out after the customer bought → enable **Stop flow after a sale** on the flow.
- Can't send an upsell outside the 24-hour window → assign an approved "Upsell Offer" template; only templates work outside that window.
- Customer getting too many offers → tighten the maximum offers per customer setting or extend the offer expiry/follow-up delay.
