How do I set up a floating button that jumps to express checkout?
To add a floating button that sends customers straight to Express Checkout instead of adding the product to the cart, add the Sticky Cart block to your product page and set its button role to Scroll.
Steps
- Make sure your product page already has an Express Checkout block added — the Sticky Cart button needs it to scroll to.
- Open the page in your store editor (Online Store → theme editor) and add the Sticky Cart block if it isn't already on the page.
- Select the Sticky Cart block, open its settings, and under Button Role choose Scroll (instead of Add to cart) — this makes the floating button scroll customers to the Express Checkout block rather than adding the item to their cart.
- Turn on Show only after passing form and set a scroll threshold if you only want the sticky button to appear once the customer scrolls past the Express Checkout section.
- Customize the button's text, icon, and colors, then save and preview the page to confirm it scrolls to checkout as expected.
Common problems
- Button adds to cart instead of jumping to checkoutits Button Role is still set to Add to cart; switch it to Scroll.
- Sticky button never appearscheck the Show only after passing form toggle and threshold — if enabled, the button only shows after the customer scrolls past that point.
- Button appears but nothing happens on clickconfirm an Express Checkout block actually exists on the same page; the Sticky Cart button scrolls to it and has nothing to jump to if it's missing.
