How do I adjust stock for multiple products at once?
Select multiple rows on the Inventory page to adjust their quantities, locations, or tracking status all at once instead of one product at a time.
Steps
- Go to Inventory in the sidebar.
- Use Select items (or the row checkboxes) to pick the products/variants you want to change; the toolbar shows Actions (count) once you've selected at least one.
- Open Actions and choose one of:
- Adjust quantities — set a new quantity or adjust by an amount, and optionally pick a Reason (Correction, Count, Received, Damaged, Theft or loss, Promotion or donation, Return restock, Other) and add a Note.
- Update locations — move or assign the selected items to a different location.
- Enable tracking / Disable tracking — turn inventory tracking on or off for all selected items together.
- Review the pending changes, then click Bulk Save to apply them.
- Every bulk change is logged — click History on the Inventory page afterward to open Adjustment History and see who made the change, the operation type (Bulk/Single), and the before/after quantities.
Common problems
- "No items selected" message when opening Actionsyou need to check at least one row's checkbox before the bulk menu will apply.
- "No pending changes to save" when clicking Bulk Saveyou opened an action but didn't actually enter a new value; re-open Adjust quantities and fill in the fields before saving.
- Adjustment doesn't show a reason in Historythe Reason field in Adjust quantities is optional; select one before saving if you want it to appear in the log.
- Wrong location was updatedUpdate locations changes every selected row to the same location; deselect items you don't want moved before running the action.
