How to set variants and a before/after (compare-at) price
Set the "before" price in the product's Price before discount field — it must be higher than the Sale price, and it applies at the product level, not per variant.
Steps
- Open the product and go to its pricing section.
- Enter your Sale price (what customers pay).
- Enter Price before discount with a higher amount — Dropify shows this struck through next to the sale price. If it's equal to or lower than the sale price, saving will be blocked.
- Add variant types (Radio, Color, Dropdown, or Image) under the product's Variants section; each variant can have its own image, but pricing/discount currently applies at the whole-product level.
- If you want variant-specific pricing tiers or bundle-style discounts instead, set those up under Bundles & Offers rather than the plain Variants section.
Common problems
- Set up a discount inside the Variants section and it's not behaving like a real promotionuse the dedicated Bundles & Offers section instead for strikethrough pricing and volume/bundle deals; Variants alone isn't built for promotional pricing.
- Need a different "before" price per variant, not just per productthis isn't available yet; today the compare-at price applies to the whole product.
- Changed a product's price but it's not updating anywhereconfirm you saved the product page itself; note the landing page has its own separate price field that doesn't pull from the product automatically (see the landing-page price article).
- Price shows as 0 or a completely different number than what you setthis points to a real bug rather than a settings mistake; contact support with the product link and the price you actually entered.
- Price looks unchanged after an editmake sure you're viewing the same variant you edited; different variants can show different prices.
