Subtotal and total aren't showing on my checkout page
If your checkout page's order summary is missing the subtotal and total, you need to add the Subtotal Order and Total Order elements to the checkout page yourself — they aren't included automatically on every layout.
Steps
- Open Online Store and go into the theme editor for your checkout page.
- Click the order summary box on the checkout page, and add the Subtotal Order element where you want the subtotal to appear.
- Do the same for the Total Order element to show the order total.
- Save your changes, republish the page, and preview the checkout page (or place a test order) to confirm both values now appear.
Common problems
- Added the Subtotal Order / Total Order elements but only the labels show, no numbersmake sure you saved and republished the page after adding the elements, then clear your browser cache (or test in an incognito/private window) and reload the checkout page. If it still happens, open a ticket with the page link.
- Not sure where to click to add the elementthe elements are added directly inside the order summary box on the checkout page, not from a separate settings menu.
