Automatically send a WhatsApp message when an order comes in
The WhatsApp AI Agent app includes an Order Confirmation Agent that automatically messages a customer on WhatsApp to confirm their order as soon as it's placed — separate from a WhatsApp contact button on your landing page.
Steps
- Go to Apps and install/open WhatsApp AI Agent.
- Connect your WhatsApp Business number and configure the agent's behavior and tone in its general settings.
- Open the Order Confirmation Agent and turn it on — this sends the automatic message confirming order details right after checkout.
- Under its Template Assignment tab, review which message template is sent per language, and adjust reminder/schedule settings if needed.
Common problems
- Only had a WhatsApp contact button on the landing page and wanted an automatic message sent on every new order insteadthat's a separate feature; install WhatsApp AI Agent and turn on the Order Confirmation Agent rather than relying on the contact button.
