Google Ads / Google Analytics conversion isn't tracking
Dropify has two separate places for Google tracking: Apps > Google Analytics (one GA4 Measurement ID, format G-XXXXXXXXXX) for site analytics, and Store Settings > Pixels > Google (up to 10 tracking/conversion IDs) if you need to track multiple Google Ads accounts. Both need "Activate On" set correctly to actually collect data.
Steps
- For analytics: go to Apps > Google Analytics, enter your GA4 Container ID (
G-XXXXXXXXXXfrom Google Analytics), and set Activate On to Store Only, Landing pages Only, or Both — whichever pages you actually want measured. - For multiple Google Ads conversion IDs: go to Store Settings > Pixels > Google, click Add New Pixel, and enter a name plus the ID for each ad account (up to 10).
- If you also use Google Tag Manager for conversion tags, connect it separately from Apps > Google Tag Manager with your
GTM-XXXXXXXcontainer ID and the same Activate On choice. - Verify with Google Tag Assistant or Google Ads' own conversion diagnostics after placing a test order — check the specific page (store vs. landing page) matches what you set Activate On to.
Common problems
- Purchase/conversion event never fires even though PageView doesconfirm Activate On includes the page type the order is placed from; a value of "Landing pages Only" won't fire on your main store checkout, and vice versa.
- Tag Assistant shows the tag was removed from the landing pagere-add it from the landing page's own settings; landing page tracking codes are separate from the store-wide ones.
- Need more than a few Google tracking IDs for multiple ad accountsup to 10 IDs are supported from Store Settings > Pixels > Google; the field's own description currently says "unlimited," but the form itself enforces a 10-pixel cap, so plan around 10 per provider.
- Offers/orders not appearing in a connected Google Sheetthis is a separate reporting integration issue, not the pixel itself; contact support with details.
