How to set up a professional/business email on your connected domain

If your domain uses Dropify's nameservers, Dropify's DNS panel controls it — you can't add your own MX/TXT/SPF records there. To use a professional email address (Namecheap Private Email, Google Workspace, etc.) on the same domain, connect your domain using the CNAME method instead of nameservers — see Nameservers vs A/CNAME records — which one should I use? — so your existing DNS provider keeps managing mail records while your store stays connected.

Steps

  1. Go to Store Settings → Domains and check whether your domain currently uses Dropify's nameservers.
  2. If it does, switch to the CNAME method instead: add a CNAME record pointing to cname.dropify.shop at your registrar — see Nameservers vs A/CNAME records — which one should I use? for the exact steps (including a video tutorial). This keeps your domain's DNS with your own provider so you can manage email records yourself.
  3. In your domain provider's DNS page, add the email records your email provider requires (MX, TXT/SPF, etc.), alongside the CNAME record that keeps the store connected.
  4. Wait for the changes to propagate, then confirm both your store and your new email are working.
