Facebook Ads shows more purchases than orders in my store

A gap between what an ad platform (Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads) reports and what shows in your Dropify orders is usually a reporting/attribution mismatch on the ad platform's side, not a sync failure — pixel events are sent automatically once your pixel is added, with no manual setup needed per order.

Steps

  1. Confirm your pixel is connected and the Purchase (or Lead) event is enabled under Event Configuration — see How do I add my Facebook, TikTok, or Google pixel ID?.
  2. Compare the ad platform's date range and timezone to your Dropify Orders page — mismatched ranges are the most common cause of an apparent gap.
  3. Open a specific "purchase" the ad platform reported and check whether a matching order actually exists in Orders for that customer/time — the ad platform may be counting a click or add-to-cart as a purchase due to attribution settings, not an actual completed order.
  4. If leads/orders from ads appear in Dropify hours after the ad platform shows them, this delay is expected — campaign lead data and your store's order list sync on different schedules and can take time to line up, and a small number of leads may not carry through if the lead didn't complete the order flow.
