Why are my test orders using up store coins?
Every order placed on your store — including test orders — consumes coins, because Dropify's pricing is order-based, not just for real sales. If test orders piled up because of a bug on your store (not something you did on purpose), support can refund the coins that were deducted.
Steps
- If you're deliberately testing (e.g. checking pixels or a new landing page), expect each test order to cost the same as a real one — there's no separate "test mode" that skips the charge.
- To limit accidental duplicate/spam orders costing you coins, install and enable the built-in Anti-Spam app from the Apps section.
- If a bug on your side generated a batch of unintended test orders (e.g. a landing page not redirecting to the thank-you page correctly), fix that first, then contact support explaining what happened and ask for those coins to be credited back.
Common problems
- Testing pixels/tracking created many orders and used a lot of coinsthis is expected — pixel and checkout testing still counts as real orders on the coin system; test in smaller batches where possible.
- Same customer sending repeated duplicate ordersactivate the Anti-Spam app rather than expecting a refund each time; support can't retroactively waive coins for orders your store genuinely received.
- Orders were the result of a confirmed bug (e.g. broken redirect)explain the technical cause to support with evidence; refunds for coins are more likely to be approved once the underlying bug is understood and fixed.
