How do I downgrade or switch my Dropify plan?
Switch plans anytime from Account Settings → Subscriptions and Payments or the Upgrade page. Dropify no longer has a free plan — new stores start on Pay As You Grow (no monthly fee, a small per-order charge deducted from your balance) or a fixed monthly plan (Business or Unlimited) that includes more orders/features for one flat fee. Your products, theme, and settings carry over when you switch.
Steps
- Go to Account Settings → Subscriptions and Payments, or the plan comparison page reached from Upgrade.
- Compare Pay As You Grow (no monthly subscription; a per-order fee is deducted from your store coins/balance) against Business or Unlimited (a fixed monthly price, with unlimited or higher order limits included).
- Select the plan you want and confirm. If moving to Pay As You Grow, make sure you keep a top-up on your balance — see I topped up my store balance but it's not showing — what do I do?.
- If you're on Business/Unlimited and hit your plan's staff-member limit, extra team members are billed separately — see How do I invite staff and set their permissions?.
Common problems
- Still charged per order on the Business/Unlimited plana small per-order fee is deducted from your store balance on every plan: Pay As You Grow is $0.10 per order, Business is $0.05 per order, and Unlimited has no per-order fee. Current values are always shown on the Plans & Pricing page in your dashboard.
- Blocked or asked to top up balance despite paying a monthly plansome plans still deduct a small per-order fee from your balance in addition to the subscription; keep balance topped up to avoid interruptions.
- No free/trial plan shown at signupDropify replaced the free plan with Pay As You Grow, which has no monthly fee and only charges a small amount once you make a sale.
- Wanted a refund instead of downgradinga downgrade can be combined with a refund of the unused portion in some cases; see Can I get a refund for my Dropify subscription?.
